Pre Prague Prep

Now that Fall semester is officially over, I can focus all my energy on my upcoming semester at NYU in Prague! I am very excited, and somewhat nervous, to be spending four months in a foreign country (where I don't know the language), especially since I have never been to Europe. I am sure I will be learning a lot, both inside and outside the classroom.

Speaking of the classroom, I am taking four classes in Prague: "Modern Jewish History", "Religion, Culture and Politics in Central and Eastern Europe", "Contemporary European Theater", and a Gallatin (the individualized study program) seminar called "Civil Resistance in Central and Eastern Europe". I am very interested in learning about the culture in the Czech Republic, since it is so extremely different from ours, and studying Jewish history where it occurred.

I leave for Prague on January 15th, and once I arrive (on the 16th), we have a week-long orientation before classes start. I will try to update as much as possible! Thanks for reading, and I look forward to sharing my adventures with you :)
